Areas we serve
Boyle Contracting covers Suffolk and Nassau County, from the Queens line out to the East End. Licensed abatement crews, local to Long Island, working across both counties.
We work one island, and we know it. Boyle Contracting provides asbestos removal, lead removal, mold removal, and fire damage support across the whole of Suffolk and Nassau County, with the same crew, the same pricing structure, and the same standard of work wherever the job is.
That consistency matters more here than it would elsewhere, because Long Island is not one housing market. A 1920s village house near the bay, a Levittown cape from 1949, a 1960s tract ranch off Middle Country Road, and a warehouse in an industrial park all hide different problems in different places. We price by what the job actually involves, not by how far the van has to drive.

Trusted across Long Island
Suffolk County, NY
Suffolk is the larger and more varied half of our territory, and the variety is the point. Roughly 73% of Suffolk housing was built before 1978, but that number hides how different those homes are from each other. A Victorian near Patchogue's Main Street, a postwar ranch in Centereach, a colonial-era property in Smithtown, and a unit in one of Brentwood's multi-family buildings all predate the modern rules, and each one hides its hazards somewhere else.
What we find in Suffolk homes
In the older village housing along the South Shore, we most often find lead paint on original window sashes and exterior trim, plus asbestos in pipe insulation and floor tile in basements that have been finished and refinished over decades. In the postwar tract housing inland, the pattern shifts: asbestos shows up in ceiling texture and vinyl tile, and mold turns up in basements and crawl spaces that were never built with much ventilation.
Then there is water. The South Shore takes weather directly, and any hamlet near the Great South Bay deals with basements that flood in a bad nor'easter. Storm water is the most reliable mold generator we see out here, and it is why our mold removal services always start by tracking the moisture rather than scrubbing the stain.
Suffolk towns we cover
We work across the county, including Patchogue, Medford, Sayville, Centereach, Smithtown, Stony Brook, Hauppauge, and Brentwood. Hauppauge deserves a specific mention because of the Long Island Innovation Park, which houses around 1,350 companies employing roughly 55,000 people. Commercial asbestos removal and commercial mold removal in occupied industrial and office buildings is its own discipline, and we stage that work around business hours.
If your Suffolk hamlet is not named above, we almost certainly still cover it. The county is where most of our work is.
Nassau County, NY
Nassau is older, denser, and more uniformly built than Suffolk, and it changes what we walk into. Around 88% of Nassau housing predates 1978, which is one of the highest figures in the state. This is where American postwar suburbia was mass-produced: Levittown went up between 1947 and 1951 as identical houses, built fast, and tens of thousands of them are still lived in.
Why uniform housing changes the job
When an entire neighborhood was built by the same crews in the same three years to the same plan, the hazards repeat. We have walked into Nassau capes where we could predict where the asbestos would be before opening anything, because the house next door was identical. That is useful, and it cuts inspection time, but it also means a problem is rarely confined to one house on the street. Neighbors tend to call after they hear what we found.
The dominant finding in Nassau is lead paint, simply because so much of the housing stock is the right age and so much of it has been repainted rather than stripped. Original windows are the usual culprit. Every time a sash slides, it grinds paint into dust, which is why professional lead removal here concentrates on friction surfaces rather than blanket-stripping a whole house.
Older housing, newer renovations
Nassau also has a steady stream of renovation work, and renovation is how a stable hazard becomes an active one. Undisturbed asbestos floor tile under three later layers of flooring is not hurting anyone. A contractor pulling that floor up with a grinder on a Tuesday morning is a different situation entirely. If you are planning work on a Nassau home of this age, an inspection beforehand costs a fraction of dealing with a contaminated house afterwards.
We cover Nassau County in full, for both residential and commercial work.
